The Guild
A small furniture company in North Georgia offers a very high end product. The owners took great pride in the ensemble of fine craftsmen that they employ who bench-make every piece of furniture produced in their plant.
Sometimes corporate videos should not look like corporate videos. In this 2008 piece, the style is much less industrial and more documentary. This makes the piece entertaining and informative while telling a very real, very human story of people that take a lot of pride in their work. The owners and the craftsmen are used to tell their own story instead of using a professional voice over.
This film is one segment from a DVD containing this and several other segments telling the company's story. This segment was the story of the craftsmanship and care that goes into each piece. The final product also contained more technical shorts about the specific product line.
The cost of this type of production is around $1,000/finished minute depending on days of production, travel expenses, the amount of post production and animation.
